Tim Russert didn't hesitate to ask the tough questions but he did it in a way that kept it from seeming like the Spanish Inquisition. He'll be sorely missed because there are too many O'Reilly types around who forget not only objectivity but decency.

I saw one of those "Spanish Inquisition" types on TV yesterday.

The journalist was asking her guest questions. Obviously the journalist had a much different opinion on the matter as her guest. As her guest began to answer the questions, the journalist interrupted her and got on her soap box and tore into the guest.

That was soooo annoying. Not to mention, the journalist just made herself look like a jerk and emotional, single minded bonehead.

I admired her guest for not losing it with the interviewer.

I enjoyed watching Tim's technique many times on "Meet the Press". This is a big loss to the industry as well as his family.

Good journalists leave their opinions at the newsroom or studio door. That's why so many people liked and trusted Russert. If I can tell which side of an issue the journalist is on, s/he's doing biased work.
