I wonder whether reviews help anything these days (in terms of sales). Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know.

I review books occasionally, sometimes in exchange for folks reviewing mine, other times out of the goodness of my big Texan heart. Sometimes out of spite (very rarely). I know one writer whose book generated over a hundred reviews on Amazon while selling about three hundred copies. May be a world record.

However, in the future ... as soon as I get back from my little vacation ... in distant lands ... I'm willing to review books by folks frequenting this forum. If they agree to review mine, that is.

Just a thought.

Once again, good for you, Alice, and good for you, Al! We should stick up for one another whenever we - can; are willing; not engaged in sexual congress at the moment; not listening to verismo opera. In other words, whenever we can focus properly on writing a review or doing other things for fellow authors.

I haven't had much sleep lately. I'm going to take a nap now. Good luck to us all.
