I am having fun. When I give my books to people they are so grateful and say such nice things.

Writing can be a fun hobby-- when the price is affordable. $9.49 is much better than $24.95

An important ccnsideration when publishing, is the price.

Yup. I can only think of one or two authors I'd spend $24.95 on and an unknown (to me) author isn't one of them.

As a reader, price does matter, especially if the author is new and $9.49 is much better.

If we make our writing a hobby, it becomes more satsifying.

Writing has been my hobby since I was 13. Getting paid to do it is new to me this year.

I thought you had made a lot of money writing.

Remember the $1000.00 your publisher gave in Dick's memory when he passed?

I think you have me mistaken for someone else. I only got my first paying work last year, some cash from Virtual Tales and comp copies of a couple of anthologies I've been in.

I haven't made $1000 from my writing but I'm getting there.

Eh, I did my thing for Dick by writing a piece for a charity anthology.

Zizban, kdu, cturkel, the doctor, jct, Rolling Thunder,

Please, you don't fool me. I know who you are.

How stupid do you think we are?

The way you spoke to Shelagh was dispicable.
I will no longer respond to you.

Go talk to someone you can fool.

Issues.

As for Shelagh, well she brought it on herself. I will not apologize. On the contrary, she should have apologized to me ages ago. It was long overdue she be put in her place.

You are incorrect. Shelagh is on her turf. You are a visitor here. Whose house do you go to and use vulgar language when you disagree?

Try a charm school--by the way I am talking about your March 18th post.

I wondered what the blog was all about, Chris. You were looking for an apology from me. For what?

and with that the goblin showed, saluted shelagh admiring her penmanship as always, whereupon he just put into words his thoughts now, saying "...well, I imagine the purpose of this forum is to get one to write true to oneself now, so whether ones books/posts are good bad or whatever, means what exactly, matters what to whom then, so no, actually getting what one is writing right to oneself is worth far more, in my view alone perhaps, than all the money or praise going, for if someones wants to play king of the molehill here, I will just laugh at them for all their cheapness towards their god given, or self given, talent now, but if anyone wants to write something for me to read, then I will just thank them for their effort while knowing too, that they wrote what they did for themselves in fact, for one has to be selfish, especially in ones writing here, as life is not twice now..."

Even on the Internet there are rules of civil behavior and posting etiquette. That's what a society is about - the common good sometimes requires a person to refrain from exhibiting their true self when their behavior contributes nothing to the common good.
