discussion entitled “Anyone writing a creative work...” and a quote that talks about how creativity springs from the unconscious is being sideswiped by the MAC truck of religion. We aren’t talking about creativity anymore, we’re talking about prophets, universal symbols, and crucifixions...
Tell me how wrong I am. Please. You are new here. Perhaps you have not had time to read some of our older posts. If you had, I think you would know that I am not into "religion." I am into mythology, especially as revealed by Joseph Campbell, and BTW, I am still interested in which of his other works you have read. The Judeo-Christian myth (now watch that phrase get some trouble started) is as valid a myth as any other, and forms the background for most of the philosophies of the western world. I do not understand how you are using that word, "creativity." A definition and explanation might help. I have observed that most of the arguments that take place on this and other message boards are simply about not having common definitions for the terms we are using. Sometimes we appear to be a people separated by a common language - I would tell you who first said that if I remembered. Ann |

| It's interesting that this thread is about creativity. I paraphrased that quote in The Power of Persuasion. Not exactly a mixed metaphor, more a play on words, I replaced divided by united (as in United States):
