PostSubject: Whew!!   Whew!! EmptyThu Mar 03, 2011 11:30 am

I remember when I finished writing the WWII part of A Myth in Action I felt almost like I had a mild case of PTSD myself.

About an hour ago, Daniel finished telling Maria the story of his vision quest, which had some pretty harrowing moments. And now, I'm feeling washed out and exhausted, as though I had been through it myself.

So, now they have a few years of bliss ahead, making and raising their children before the Civil War begins and turns everything into turmoil again, as that war did for pretty much everyone who was around at that time. Once it has a "psychologically satisfying" resolution, it will be on to Book 2 - Daniel's Daughter. (Magdelena Sofia "Maggie" Redstone will have two men fall in love with her, and she will have to choose between them as well as between her loyalty to her family and her desire to choose her own path.)

For now, it's on to the kitchen to prepare Pulled Turkey Mole and Queso Tortilla Quarters with Three Sauces. ( the last part being based on recipes in the latest Everyday Food issue. It doesn't look like they've mad it to the website yet, or I would link it for you.

Ann,

Enjoy your break. Writing can be emotionally draining.

Draining but worth it, Alice. Dinner went well, too.

Back to work this morning.
