Monster storm & Frigid Temperatures.... ARE YOU READY FOR MONSTER STORM OF THE CENTURY ? 642629

Are you ready for the monster storm coming ? They predict it'll be a
bad one from the plains states to the East coast ! Here it snowed last
night , will snow today and tomorrow, temperature right now 10 going
up to 13 , tonight -1 degree ! Tomorrow high 12 low -8 degrees !

Did the safe thing and shut down just before it hit ... in Des Moines, IA.

Got below zero ... of course ... and FELT like it!

It was okay ... until our truck heater quit on us.

Yeah, trying to sleep when one is freezing isn't fun.

you made a wise decision. Glad to hear you are safe.

Dave says they are all "holed up." He is concerned about the foot of snow already on his roof, but they are all in good spirits, and I can attest to the quality of their heating system. It keeps things pretty toasty. He also said that one of Jaycie's favorite things these days is to call Annie on her toy phone.

My name seems to be settling in, they tell me.

"Who is that, Jaycie?"

"Annie."

"Grannie Annie, Jaycie."

"Annie."

It's a pretty cool name, actually.
