| Facebook is great place to connect, but communication is difficult. I would much rather get a private email.
Am I the only one who feels this way.
It seems like everyone is talking about a different thing . People get offended over politics. The weather is very safe.
Everything seems so superficial. Small talk! It seems like the easier the communication, the less occurs. Why might that be?
Do you like emails or forwards from your friends?
Curious as usual.

Alice..
I only use Face Book for my art & Photography site. Matter of fact my nephew got an e mail last night from someone on Face Book asking if his mother's name is so and so ...She asked me about it, so I asked that person to be my friend who is using my nephews name, our name is unusual and theirs only about six of us left, we're investigating, I never ever post on their, rarely...
Cheers..Joe |

| Facebook is a notice board, a place to openly connect and interact. It is great for family and friends to stay in touch and has a facility for private messages and areas where only those of your choosing can see. If it is used wisely it can be a great tool. The problem is most people only use it a certain way that has become the accepted way. I am guilty of using it in such a trivial fashion. Guilty but not sorry as I am just loving it. I have been reunited with old friends through it and I think itis great because of that. So if you have a facebook page I would welcome your friendship with open arms. |

| Found you! Thanks!
I do like reconnecting with old friends. We found an old army buddy,we are looking forward to seeing in April. My high school roommate and I visit now. i don't know why I am bothered by it. Maybe I will get over it.
I know now it just hit me--it reminds me of the small talk before a dinner. Some people are good at it--some not.
I will try to learn from you |

| I love Facebook because it has put me in touch with old friends from the two schools I attended in Michigan, my nieces and nephews across the country, my kids and some of their friends, my business friends, author friends, and old friends that I only would hear from in a Christmas card.
It's great to check in to see what everyone is doing, and it's not always necessary to respond.
I still use email for communicating more personal dialog. I'm happy to use both forms. I can check on my kids who live in California, and we share pictures of our life adventures.
My son just got an iPad, and that is an unbelievable form of communicating and being in touch with the world! He showed me what the thing is capable of last night, and I'm simply amazed. He even controlled the t.v. programming with it. I want to get one for myself! |

| Helen,
You are so right. Facebook is a perfect way to mass communicate. That is how we all knew your mother had pneumonia. Thank God we prayed and she got over it.
My son-in-law just put out a request for prayer for himself and I mirrored it.
Guess I am just jumpy today.

| I have two Facebook accounts. One for the 'real' me and one for my 'author' me.
My 'real' me account is wonderful. My brothers, sisters, mother, cousins, friends, etc live all over the place, so I rarely get to see my family. Also, I am so rarely home. So Facebook is a great way to keep up with my nieces in college, my cousins in different cities, states, and countries, and my friends on the other side of 'the pond'.
I've found my best friend from elementary school, my first grade (and favorite) teacher. They both remembered me and were thrilled that we've found each other. My teacher, of course, was thrilled to find out about my books and is reading them. She was also my brother's third grade teacher and was excited to become his 'friend' as well. I've also found cousins and high school friends with whom I'd lost touch. It's been great to reconnect.
My Facebook friends are REAL friends (and family), so all the posts, notices, etc are important and interesting to me.
My 'author' Facebook page is less busy. A lot of the same 'friends' there ... but mostly it is just about new stuff going on ... and not much new is happening at this moment. |

| I have found no one from my past though I thought that would happen. Women change their names. |

I added my maiden name. I did too. That is one thing I like about Facebook. You can put in your current name and add a secondary (maiden, remarried, etc) name. |
