| Sarah Palin is criticizing Michelle Obama's anti childhood obesity program.
It is not a radical plan--just to get the kids moving more and eating better things.
With all of the overweight kids waddling around this country, I have no problem with Michelle's program. All first ladies do something and saying kids could eat a carrot or an apple instead of a cookie, is not a problem for me. She gets no pay for this.
Palin does not want the government deciding what kids eat at school? The government decides when school will start and end, what the kids will wear, what they will learn, etc.
What do you think?

| Anything would be better than classifying ketchup as a vegetable.

| Palin is looking for attention and she's getting it. Talking about what kids eat is more suitable to her intellect. All that is needed now is for her to learn something about food. |

| It happens in school lunch programs all around the country. Ketchup is often listed as a vegetable.

| There ya go. Michelle has her work cut out for her. Eating properly is an important part of living. There is nothing wrong with teaching proper nutrition and exercise in school. |

| School lunches are always a wonderful place for controversy. Any one who has been a teacher knows about the mystery meat (actually not as bad as it seemed since it was usually a meat flavored soy product in a coating - just a lot of salt in that coating) and the powdered eggs and powdered mashed potatoes, etc. What really did in school kids was the introduction of snack machines and soda machines because schools needed to make money off the health of the kids since it's not sufficiently financed by its citizenry.
President Obama and his lovely wife haven't got a chance. Their every move is criticized because of the upcoming presidential election. The electorate is stupid and loves the ugly stuff, just like the rag mags at the supermarket.
Sarah Palin is not an intelligent person; she is street smart in a political way like the old time politicians. I hope to be living in Panama if she is elected. I won't be able to stand my Republican friends any more. It's difficult already. I'll end up with ulcers. I have lost my faith in the U.S. Citizens for their stupidity in being led like lemings by sound bites and hate press. I am so disappointed in the Republican party and its fanaticism that I doubt I will ever embrace it again. |

| i did try - I worked in the political office to encourage voters to go to the polls and I stuffed envelopes.
All the political parties really want is money. They can hire the calls and the stuffed envelopes then. Money is everything. One person does not make a difference; $14 million of personal assets to finance television ads means everything. It bought the governorship in Florida. |

| We can't give up, though. Truly if every citizen became politically active and fought for campaign limits to spending - that would make a positive difference. I don't think Florida was the only campaign slot purchased with personal fortunes. However, I think the one in California (Senate seat I believe) lost.
Michigan got a wealthy business person who spent personal fortunes for his governorship too - out of the computer industry. Guess those old, retired business CEO's want the cushy retirement and perks for their declining years. Old men get elected; old women are shunned except by the executive wing in Washington where some pretty unattractive, older women did get a few cabinet appointments over the years. |

We should do like England, you have six months to run, just so much money and that's it! The elections end exactly in six months, not like here two years in the running like re-making " Gone With The Wind," part 12, it gets disgusting...
