Verdict: He will redo the surgery on the right side. Surrgery will occur on the 28th--so 20 more days. Bring a laptop with a wireless connection! We'll be expecting an update the next day. |

"...well, by now the list is rather extensive..." mused the goblin who was somewhat practiced at it, explaining "...joining a writer's forum out of the blue is a bit like turning up at some venue and seeing if ones act "steals the show" or "lands one on ones ear", simply one doesn't know the outcome until one tries, and in a way it resembles a television interview too, in that one has to be polite, friendly, ready with ones replies, and above all uncompromising in one views and beliefs...", in fact, the goblin took the outcome in his stride each time, where to be universally accepted probably meant that one didn't stand for anything, so it's better this way then |

- Is being banned a goal?
"..ah no, it's never my goal to be banned..." replied the goblin, adding "...but by now you know what to expect from me here, and how each part of my persona has some logical reason to it, no simply I am banned in my view where I am not given enough time...", yes, with the goblin it always seemed either a quick death or a gradual acceptance, adding "...but the other truth is that when one is joining somewhere new as an unknown it is very exciting ordeal, simply it could go either way, and there is a lot of justification to deal with, much like a job interview perhaps, and yet after the interview, few people regret the rejection any more than in publishing, where simply one resubmits the manuscript elsewhere I imagine...", where those elsewheres on forumland were numerous now, but publishedauthors remained one of them |

| I hope Carol slept as well as I did last night. A wonderful friend visited me last evening and her perspective was so calming. I was freaking out about my brain job and how I couldn't wait 19 more days.
She said "One day at a time." I said, "that is right God only helps us with our daily needs not our whole life." Thanks to God, I slept fairly well and have only 18 more days to go now.
My mother -in-law is in the nursing home where she works and looks much happier and more comfortable.
Dave and I were upset that she was discharged so soon, but when we saw the royal welcome she got and the improved relaxation, we were thankful.

| Prayers and good thoughts all around. I will be sitting in Centralia on the 28th, so the news will be slow reaching me. However, I expect the very best outcome on your end. Sure do love the cat pictures. |

| Hi Zada, Good to hear from you. I guess you are wondering what happened to the Ning network. Ning informed me that the Published Authors Network will be removed on Monday, 12th September. This forum is separate and will continue. I've linked the forum to the Goodreads Published Authors Group at the bottom of the forum's main page. Dear Alice, All is well and there's nothing to worry about. |

| Shelagh, Is not today Sunday the 12th? Tomorrow Monday the 13th? Maybe I am confused with too many pills and a loose wire? I am counting the days until my surgery. |

| I could claim it was a typo, Alice, but it was my mistake. I can't even blame it on loose wires. I plead the fifth.

| Back to the one day at a time thought...
Someone (that famous "someone") said to me once that God said, "I am." God spoke in the present tense.
That's why the past can be bleak and the future frightening. God is with us in the now, our thoughts travel alone if they venture backward or forward. If we want company on our adventures in this life, then we need to stay in the present where God dwells. |
