| There must be a reason the weather is a safe topic to discuss in polite company. On Facebook a lot of people state their temperatures. It is not riveting to hear how hot their places are, but no one gets worked up over it. Why is that? |

| The weather is a safe topic in the UK because it changes before anyone can disagree about it. |

| We usually have very nice weather this time of year and people get upset if the temperature gets too high in the 80s. But today it is raining and will be most of the day. Weather is probably a safe topic because besides deciding where to live we really can't do much about it. Love, Carol |

I recall they would say the weather would be "limited." On our daughter's wedding day, it rained, hailed, snowed and the sun shone--it was the middle of March. |

| Are you sure you don't live in Southeast Texas (except for the snow, of course)? Ann |

| We can get a good argument going over "global warming." |

If you must... I can't prove it either way. I know the earth goes through warming and cooling times. It is religion to some. I have not joined a side yet. If we have an ice age how will we eat?

| Today, from about 4:00 on, there was nothing on TV but tornado warning areas. I think the same reporter is still reporting.

| I suppose the term "normal" as it applies to seasonal weather in a given area must be constantly updated. In recent years there has been little or no consistency with weather patterns. |
