| A stage company in the San Francisco Bay area is seeking to turn my manuscript, The Second Monkey Trial, into a stage play. A friend (an actor) who read it, showed it to a Producer.
If I agree, it might help when I seek an agent…or should I seek an agent first? |

| Dominic,
I would be tempted to leave the agent until later but my experience is neither fiction or works for the theatre so I don’t know what I’m talking about! Congratulations |

| There are some screenwriters on Writers.net that could answer that question competently. If all the malware and viruses that infect that site haven't chased them off, that is. |

| domenic,
I am so happy with and for you. I don't know what advice to give you. I have not been in such an enviable position.
I'd go for the screenplay. |

| Congratulations Domenic. When it comes to negotiations, I suggest you seek help. An agent can help with that. |

| Domenic it is an opportunity. A chance to get your name in front of a producer is not to be sniffed at. |

| Dear Domenic, I know nothing of agents, but I think you have been around a while. Look at what they offer. I hope it is the opportunity for you. Not everyone gets such an offer.
Your story is perfect for stage play with all the dialog.
Love, Betty |

| You don't really need the selling expertise of an agent. You might do better with an entertainment attorney with theatrical experience, pay a one-time fee rather than royalties. |
