AUTHORS WHO BEAT OTHER AUTHORS OVER THE HEAD ?

Hi Everyone..

Why do authors who are standard published authors
always come on this board and beat other authors over
the head just because they published in other ways?
Are they jealous ?.... Are they inadeqaute ?...
Maybe they just like to create arguments on boards
or belittle others ?..... What is your opinion ?...

My opinion: They just like to belittle others because
within themselves they're jealous of others who believe
in themselves and their writings...

What's even weirder are people who aren't published, and doing the whole agent dance, but whack at people who self-publish.  It's like "I'm standing here in this line that never moves and you're taking sleazy cuts".

here and is very agrumental towards

I see that on a lot of boards. These clowns chime in on self-publishing discussions and dismiss it while taking pride in having no idea what it involves.

There's a jerk on Linked-In whose head I'd like to pinch off for that stuff. Guy has ONE book out and it's about the Holocaust. Which pretty much means you can get it published if you wrote it in crayon with every word mis-spelled. Yet he had to go to a small press in Israel to get a publisher.

And he continually sounds off on how any real writer eschews self-publishing and isn't really an author, and such.

There's another guy on there who joins in EVERY discussion of self-publishing just to say he's had dozens of titles out on real publishing houses and anybody who does it any other way is a joke and he's helping them out by educating them to the fact.

But there certainly plenty in the tribe of the militantly self-satisfied.

Small minds and big attitudes are best ignored.

Generally we do have a good bunch of folk who traverse this board. I tend to stay away from the other boards.
I feel at home here.
Those folk who lash out and hide who they really are have no credability.
Some people get their kicks from being negative it seems.
