Each month is an awareness month for something. For instance, January is National Blood Donor Month as well as Alzheimer's Awareness Month in Canada. Each month it is something different where good causes are brought to the forefront. Two that are important to me because members of my family are currently battling these diseases or have succumbed to them are diabetes (awareness month in November) and breast cancer (October in Canada and UK). I hope my fellow writers will consider the cause that means the most to them and consider contributing or volunteering locally to make a difference.
