| Hi Shelagh Just a thought......I'm a great thinker, sometimes I sits and thinks and sometimes I just sits. Chatter box topics come and go at a very rapid rate. Most are one liners with a few comments. Can we have another folder called "Hot Topics" If a thread reaches say twenty or thirty comments it is moved from "Chatter Box" to the "Hot Topics" board. I often find that I'm interested in a topic, and for one reason or another, I'm away from the forum for a few days; the topic I was posting on has disappeared 'under the radar'. I know it's still available, if you look for it, but it somehow loses the 'aura' of being a hot topic. As I said - just a thought..... |

| Dear Luigie, I used to be like you when I first began writing on the PublishAmerica writers forum. People seemed so flip, so shallow, without a thought about important matters. Since, I have found that people all have many faceted lives, hopes of different colors, dreams that only they know about. All of us, like you are writers of words. We elaborate our horizons on message boards. So many people with so many ideas. I have learned not to take myself so seriously. People let down their defenses on message boards, especially one this friendly. When someone is dying, it is ok to worry about them, if someone's crop is freezing to death, it is ok to be concerned. I wish I knew you better. I cannot speak for Shelagh. Only that she is the best. I know that to be true. Love, Betty |

| Thanks Betty. We have seen some very sad things on these message boards, with more sadness to come. It's hard to bear sometimes.
Llew, you can set up an email alert on threads you find particularly interesting. Every time a new post is added, you will receive an alert. If several alerts arrive over a matter of hours, you will know that the thread is active. When the alerts cease, you will also know that the thread is inactive and likely to have slipped down the board. When you are ready to post, you can click on any of those alerts and be taken straight to the thread.
Btw, the best way to cause a fight among members here is to ask me to move a thread to another board. |

| Dear Llew. I wish I could hear that song and the tune you play on that mandolin. I do like the word 'paucity' because I had not come near it before. You are a beaut, you know. One of a kind. I say that with love in my heart. Love, Betty |

| My brother lives in Frost Proof, Florida. That's in central Florida in the citrus region. They may have to change the name of the town as they got frost and the citrus trees are suffering. |
