Three weeks from today.

It will be here.

Our kids are coming,

Dick and Carol are alive, Ann's inlaw is alive.

Life is good.

Where is everyone?
It is too early to hibernate...

Come and yak. Argue with me.

Thanks!

For the first time since 1974, I will not be preparing Thanksgiving dinner for what grew to be over 30 people. I did have a lot of help, however.

This year the dinner will be at my daughter's new house, out in the country in a beautiful setting. We will all be going "over the river and through the woods" to get there, and I will provide a lot of help.

Since out anniversary is the day after Christmas, some will be coming that day and not Thanksgiving, so my daughter will have much fewer people than 30.

I am so thankful. I have hit a "speedbump" and having faith is all I can have, but it will be a good Thanksgiving. It has been a miraculous year.

Love, Carol

When I made the quilt for my great grand, I put in the speed humps on the streets to his house. He drives his little matchbook cars over those very slowly.

Carol, you have had so many speed humps on your road.

Alice has too.

We all have speed humps of differing heights. Some you have to really slow down to get over and others are just a big bump in the road. I like the term 'frost heaves' because it sounds like the road you are on just puked.

God bless us all.

Love,
Betty

Carol,
You are never out of my thoughts. I consider that if prayer does not work, thoughts have a positive energy. Maybe that is why praying works. I know that did not make much sense.

I dusted my shelves today. I dusted the Evening In Paris bottle.

There are things that melt you down.

Love,
Betty

Betty, Everyone,

Don't feel sorry for me. I have been blessed. Thirteen years ago, life looked quite bleak.

I just returned from a HOPE Conference. There is hope for everything.

Let's all think hope.
It's more fun that way.

We are all alive--let's enjoy life.

Dear Alice,

I like the concept of a hope conference.

If it were not for hope, I would have died long, long ago.

You know, every time I go to the doctors, they find another reason I should have a conference with Hope.

I look in the mirror every morning and I am there. It is good.

The mind has so much more to do than worry about it's body's health. Lord! It would have been nice if I knew that when I was 16 and I would not have wasted my self away into this terrible state. Well, I am sure in my invinsible mode I would have never believed that I was mortal.

The wonderful thing about this message board is that your brain is front and center. You may not have a body worth a damn any longer, but your brains are ok.

I think about the haunted house in Disney where the head is in the jar. It is a Hologram, but profound. All we really are is our brain. It is not about anything else. Everything else belongs to existing and surviving on this earth.

In that light, infinity of the spirit is not so far fetched.

Onward!

Love,
Betty

Betty, you are profound, and thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

A Hope Conference sounds fantastic, Alice. How do I get to one of those conferences?

I love you guys.

I think that makes perfect sense. It seems to me that our thoughts are prayers, sent out into the universe just because we are thinking them, and the universe responds, especially when we send out good thoughts, and even more especially when we all send out the same good thoughts.

I am getting very sleepy now. Do I make sense?
