Yes!

Having your book checked by a good editor is OK, Domenic. The key word is good. If your work is published by a New York trade publisher it will receive a lot of editing. Nothing wrong with that just so long as the editor knows what he or she is doing. Most employed by large publishers do.

First off this Individual had one book through PA.

This person further published novels under a pen name.
This person was an adjunct professor, which means they were not a full time professor and this person wrote colums for three newspapers--never claiming to be employed by one.

He spoke before a variety of organizations including the Arizona Historical Society, and most recently the Huachuca Museum Society. He frequently was a guest lecturer to University of Arizona classes.

He spoke about subjects other than his books.
