Epic Poem Progress

I am working on an epic poem project. Right now I am at 1,364 lines. It is a refreshing task that is challenging in a way somehow different from a novel.

Has anyone else tried something like this?

I'm afraid I wouldn't get very far with an epic poem--writing, that is. Best of luck.

That's really an epic length. I once wrote a short story as verse. I've lost it somewhere along the way, and don't remember the number of lines, but I doubt it was anything close to a thousand. The "Ode to a Lost Warrior," published in A Myth in Action was just over 300, and I thought it was long.

Hope you will share bits of it.
