5 tips to Scene Building Empty
PostSubject: 5 tips to Scene Building   5 tips to Scene Building EmptyTue Jun 02, 2009 8:19 pm

I just found one of the best articles on scene building I have ever
read and just had to share it. It is from the March/April issue of
Writer's Digest.

5 Easy Tips to Strengthen Your Scenes

I have been told that I'm pretty good with dialogue, but I tend to rush
scenes that should be drawn out and overwrite unimportant scenes that
probably shoud be cut out. I also don't paint a picture of my
characters very well. I put too much trust in the reader to do that.

This article has already helped me see my shortcomings.

The title of the 5 tips are:

1. RELIVE YOUR SCENES - Not rewrite. Revise

2. HEAT UP THE CORE

3. ADJUST YOUR PACE

4. STRETCH THE TENSION

5. CUT OR STRENGTHEN WEAK SCENES

All have more information and examples
