Ok, DT, you asked, so I'll answer.

I watched your video twice and read the back cover. I still don't know what the book is about. Color me slow, but from these promotional materials, I'm not grasping the book's angle.

Are you chronicling what led to foreclosures?
Are you chronicling Wall Street greed and missteps?
Are you giving a street-level POV from someone who lives in TARP town?
Are you discussing how the current recession will help us?

I find the subject interesting, but I would need to have a clearer idea of the book's focus before I'd buy it (some Look Inside pages would help). My personal feeling is that TARP town inhabitants are as much to blame as Wall Street. You might find this article interesting. It's an excerpt from a book written by a lie-through-his-teeth mortgage holder and credit card junkie.

ETA -there is a dissonance between the anger I perceive in your delivery (in which your portray yourself as a TARP town resident) and the message in your book's subtitle about how the recession will actually save us. Hence my confusion.

LC, I understand what you are saying, however it is difficult to present a sample that does justice to an entire book.
I have often seen samples that caused peoply to have a view of an entire book that was based upon only one aspect of the entire work. That is something that I am pondering now. I actually loaded the free iPhone Kindle application and downloaded the free sample first chapter from the Kindle version of TARP Town U S A.

The book touches on all of the aspects that you mentioned.

Oh, no doubt it arouses curiousity! However, the next step is buying. I just like to know what I'm buying. Promises of "untold stories" or information that isn't being presented in the mainstream press is always a good sell (at least to me).

Thanks Ahad. LC I have found that buying is not an instant process without a built in audience like a celebrity or politician will have. I am not expecting instant reaction but books last a while and steady activity does pay off. Plus this is my 4th book and I am seeing activity with my other titles even if the latest offering is not to someones taste. This book is for a different audience. Here is another video to sample:
