Thanl you--your prayers have been answerered, in my case anyway. I have beautiful flowers, was taken to the Snoqualmie Falls Lodge for a delicious brunch,on and on and on.

How magnificent a view, Alice!

Ours last evening was not quite so grand, but peaceful and natural. Lynn and Chris have one of those houses you see fairly often in hilly areas. The first story sits on the top of a hill, with the lower ones underneath as the hillside drops. Lynn, Susan and I sat on the deck with our last glasses of wine, looking out at the green treetops and just talked about whatever while the guys cleaned up the kitchen after dinner.

Alice, that is fantastic and the menu sounds exquisite to be sure. I am envious you have mountains there.

We had a brunch with eight people late yesterday morning in a very nice restaurant in Madison, the same one where we celebrated my 70th birthday, but with a smaller group. It was good conversation and loving people.

I got two bottles of wine, a little pillow saying how important chocolate was, chocolate, earrings, a little plaque that says to live in the moment, and a candle. Believe me, these people know what I like!

It was a good day.
