| I have been missing because something was burning a hole in my brain and I put on paper about the current economic situation. It is relatively short but there was nothing else to say. The book right now has a body, but I have to give it a soul. It's at 85% to 90% complete. This is non-fiction.
I have been looking at non-fiction books an notice that the length and size are much more varied than fiction. There are some very popular non-fiction books that are in sizes and page counts that I rarely see in fiction. |

| Good for you DT.
Did you figure out the solution to the economic crisis. You will win the race for NYT best seller. |

| The current economic situation is what brought my attention back to my ..Adam... book. It's antagonists' thinking is much like that of those who got us into this situation. Looking forward to seeing your take. Ann |

| My theories on this, which mean zilch in the bigger world, are that when the government gets it right, finds the solution we all need not just the rich people, it will work and we'll all be better off in our hearts, minds, and souls, if not our pocketbooks.
I hope to hear about your take on this subject.

| Which house are you sending it to?
We can email them and tell them we want to read books about the economic crisis and are very interesed in crisis' in general--such as the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Wouldn't that be nice to have two authors with major houses at once?
I wonder if expressing interest in a topic would budge these guys--might be worth a try. |

| ... or you could do it the way Jeff Rivera did: self-publish, attract enough visitors to your website to download 6,000 PDF copies of the book and then sign up with an agent and secure a sizeable advance with a commercial publisher. It takes years and there are no guarantees. But it worked out for Jeff! |

| Dear DT,I hope that I have understood your question. You have written a book about the economic situation and feel that you have not given it the soul connection to the general populace that it needs to be understood. Not knowing what your idea of soul is or your solution to any economic situation, it must be like selling stawberries to a glutted market. The big mouths are the loudest, it is hard to be heard. You cannot even be a new voice and be heard. No one wants to think about it any more. I am sorry about that. You are a smart man. Love, Betty |

| DT perhaps the sould you seek is your personal story - the creative non-fiction part. People love something that tells a personal story (and it may not be yours, it might be stories of other folks, but it is story nonetheless). Have you looked at Tim Ferriss' ideas on how he set up his empire with The 4-hour Work Week? Similar to Jeff Rivera that Shelagh mentioned, these fellows are brilliant at developing a brand that folks gravitate toward. |
