Hi... Very Happy

Do pets have a soul and go to heaven ? What do you think ?

Me: I had a poodle once, her name was Gi Gi, she lived to be
10 years old, heart condition. Months later after she passed I
had a dream, she was running and playing, happy. She related
to me that she was waiting for me, one day we would meet again.
Yes, I do believe pets have souls, feelings and they wait for us.

There is more to our pets than just instincts Joe.
They have personalities that's for sure.
So why not a soul?

We like to think we are the most evolved of all creatures. I've known many "lower" animals who were very wise. Maybe we just don't get it.

Life and death are complementary elements, I think. One cannot exist without the other. We have to kill to live. Even if we are vegans. Plants have their own consciousness, too.

That is why the native Americans, and indigenous peoples everywhere give prayers of gratitude to the animals and plants who died to become their food, clothing, and/or shelter.

I am not so convinced about heaven as a place to go, be it animal or plant. We are animals. Bugs are animals. Even bacteria are a life form. Humans are the creatures that need to believe in a heaven after they have been as mean and nasty as possible on this earth and forgiven...

I have thought a lot about the soul, the core of life, be it bug, hog, hawk, and on up the chain to human.

Strip it all down to that light that is life within each creature, no shells of ego protection, and there we all are, equal.

I guess we would need to define "heaven." Personally, I don't see the point in flying around a cloud and playing a harp forever. It doesn't sound very purposeful.

I think that there is more than a good chance that this thing we call a life isn't all there is of us, but it is all we know about for now, and deserves the best we have to give. We should live it as though it is all there is. Every soul has a purpose, and, as chaotic and disorderly as it seems, I believe the Universe has one, too.

I agree with you. Flying about playing harps forever is unappealing. I think we will do real things in heaven--build houses, grow things etc. There will be no sickness, death, sighing, dying or crying.

After this life, it will be wonderful to be there. We can all go, the price has been paid by Jesus.

Some have been to hell and back. Anyone been to heaven and back?

I've been to Beirut and back. That was not heaven, but a little bit of hell was visible. I witnessed some human animals in action. Some try self-destruction to qualify for heaven/paradise. If they get there, I'm not sure I want to make their acquaintance. Of course they might wind up in the other place and I know for sure I don't wnat to go there unless I'm sent there with a license to kill.
