They begin with this "nice" subhead: Staggering Statistics in Book Publishing can Read Like a Stephen King Novel. Is The Any Hope for Authors and Publishers?

So cturkel, what it appears to me that you are saying in your signature is that after all those cars whizzing by and not picking me up is that maybe I should wise up and stop trying, stop writing, get out of the way for other authors, narrow the competition.

Just some thoughts.

Yes, people will always read books, and there is a new world out there that many more people can have their manuscripts published and we can all benefit from that.

Yes, and people will always need to move around. Does that mean Detroit doesn't have to worry. Or that buggywhip factories didn't have to worry?

Turkle WHY do you keep doing this?????? What is you motivation here?

You just keep jumping in with your PA agenda or quoting the lamest items on the web or popping off idiotically... what are you getting out of this? I actually curious about that. In a limited way.

Sometimes I think Detroit and mainstream publishing have a lot in common.
