If you read the post I made earlier (Write Right - Do the Research) you will see mention of a mistake on Wikipedia. I had checked today and was certain of that. A short time ago I received an email from mystery short story writer Leigh Lundin saying, "Are you sure?" There was a link to Wikipedia so I called it up and it now was correct. For a minute I thought my eyes were deceiving me, then I caught on to the fact he had changed it after reading the blog. He also had a couple of links quoting from the blog.

So, as you probably have been warned before, don't believe everything you see on Wikipedia. It may be different the next time you check.

The Wiki 'Utamaro' page is full of errors. I wouldn't be able to correct it without rewriting it. A lot of the pages are a patchwork of different people's views that aren't even vaguely similar. And the images that are supposedly in the public domain ain't necessarily so.

I always take Wikipedia with a giant grain of salt. Some of it is quite good, some of it...well, not so good.

Wikipedia is great. According to studies, it is usually 80% correct, depending on the entry. I edit entries all the time when I find mistakes.
