A little bit of humor, Or is it truth?

Do you think we could get the guys in this forum to change their profile pictures to their book covers? I mean, well, they are just downright distracting! How can one concentrate on what the guys are posting if their pictures are right there in front of your face?

I get hotflashes! I should be over them. I only get them when I come to this group! I have tried narrowing the screen but that only narrows what I am reading and the pictures remain the same. Now come on! Give a woman a break here! Enough is enough. If it was just one of the guys I could see it, but all of them? How is a woman suppose to concentrate when they have such good-looking (and that's putting it mildly) men to look at? The aging process doesn't seem to hurt them any!

And some of you wonder why I am not here much. Ha! I can't take the testosterone!

I have had flashes of one sort or the other from the time I was 45 until now, at 65. Not a single one of them was because of a man or picture of a man. Mostly, they were because I could live comfortably in the night at around 45 degrees and HE thought comfort was around 78. We have compromised and keep it at 75 in the night and 78 during the day.

Speaking of testosterone, there is a lady who lives over the way. She is very nice, name of Debrah, does fine wood crafts and is smiley all over. I really do like her. She is new to the neighborhood, and the talk of it. She and I are going to be friends in spite of all their gum flapping. She is a nice lady.

I am sure that you all know how gum flapping goes.

I don't think you are having hot flashes, per se. But I think you have done a charming job of flattering our distinguished gentlemen on this board. And you are right on.

That is so true about the gum flapping. I call it the gossip mill, and it usually gets bigger and uglier with each retelling! Thank heavens for all the people like you who see the person inside, and don't judge by the outsides alone!

Ah Sue you made me chuckle-thanks for that! For me, I really enjoy everyone's photos on here - kind of brings people a little closer. I am at the beginning end of hot flashes and cannot say I am liking it much, but would rather get them from guy watching than simple hormone surges of a menopausal variety!

Enjoying this bit of gum flapping here - more like finger tapping than gum flapping I suppose, but enjoying it all the same!

H'mmm. Sue, would it help if all the guys on this board enlarged their pictures to 8x10? A closer view might solve the problem. But have you taken into account the effect on the men when they are confronted by so much feminine charm?

I have to admit, I agree with Sue. We have some nice-looking men here, and that's great.
