| Today, I went to see the oncologist for the first time. I expected to have to go on chemo, BUT, instead I have been put on a hormone receptor pill I take once a day. I have a rare form of slow growing cancer. SO, I have no more doctor appointments for a month, no more tests, no strong drugs with terrible side effects, and I won't even lose my hair! This is the best news we've had in a long time. I may have to go on chemo in the future, but right now I have at least a month off with just taking lots of pills, but no big deal!!
Oh, how I wish Rainbow could get some good news.

| That's wonderful news, Carol! While it's on my mind... have you heard about the qualities of Tumeric? It contains curcuminoids which have recently gained a lot of attention.
Here's a link to get you started researching it...
http://www.vitaminstuff.com/herbs-turmeric.html
I am a Coast to Coast am addict, and last night's guest, researcher Christian Wilde discussed new studies on turmeric, which showed that the spice may reduce the size of a stroke and lower the risk of getting cancer. He also said that it slows the growth of existing tumors. I've been taking a concentrated dose of Curcumin for several months now as a preventive.

| I'm happy for you, Carol. I don't believe the news could have been any better. Getting to keep your hair is a nice bonus, although it wouldn't make that much difference for me. Women are different so for you it's wonderful. Great news! |

| Just be sure to check with interactions with drugs you are already taking. I know that blood thinners are one that shouldn't be combined. |

| Carol, How wonderful! I am just seeing this, as I have been off line a bit lately, so forgive my lapse. I am thrilled for you, you must be just about dancing on air. |
