We Blew It!

DK Christi, one of our most dedicated posters had a birthday on the 10th.  Let's all wish her a happy belated birthday.

Happy Birthday, Diane.  Did you go visit the Swamp?  I saw the pictures on your Soouthwest Spotlight article and the lovely and intricately beaded rendition you were given.  Magnificent, just like you!

Thank you all.  I went to my favorite birthday restaurant, Iguana Mia, where they shower you with charm and welcome on your birthday.  The entire menu of choices is available at no cost, including a finale of baked alaska and a box to take home leftovers and a picture with a sombrero that they post on their web site.  My picture is HORRID, but the food was fantabulous.

 Then yesterday I dined with friends for prime rib at Win Schuler's at the Hilton.  Weird lunch - prime rib and mashed potatoes.  There was so much fat in the meat I must have gained a couple pounds.  But the camaraderie with friends was lovely.

 My mom for got to wish me a happy birthday, the first time in my lifetime.  I guess at 93 she's entitled to a slip or two.  She doesn't make many.

Your mother had you and that was a very good thing.

Mom and I had a good laugh.  Wow!  Tonight another set of friends took me to dinner.  We had a great meal and a great time.  Makes getting older somewhat better - can hardly wait for next year's birthday.  Haven't had so many restaurant meals at once for years!
