A Myth in Action: The Heroic Life of Audie Murphy

I am currently reading the paperback version of A Myth in Action: The Heroic Life of Audie Murphy by our own Ann Levingston Joiner (available at
http://www.amazon.com/Myth-Action-Heroic-Audie-Murphy/dp/148253326X). The book arrived less than 48 hours after I placed the order and was shipped free of charge courtesy of my Amazon Prime account.

So far, I've gotten through the first 100+ pages, or approximately one-third through the book and am enjoying it immensely. I'll post a full review here and at Amazon when I've had a chance to read and digest it fully. It really is a terrific book that is well written, well documented and goes well beyond any single biography you may have read about this complicated, unique American hero. The book is available in both paperback and Kindle versions which are terrific bargains--at any price.

I agree. Ann does not just flap on about Audie Murphy's medals for heroism and his greatness in battle. She tells truth about Mr. Murphy's life and what really set him apart from other military heros. Her book made me cry. Ann has the vision to write a book about a man and see the myth in the man.
