and looking at her boards, I have already joined and started to put up my books and photography

I believe I mentioned Pinterest at this forum some time ago. I am glad that Joe has discovered it. I have been posting a long time and have many boards and pins. Please check out D. K. Christi at your pinterest site. It is especially great for artists and those with great book covers. Betty could have a great time with her short story covers.

Just ask Joe - it is sooooooo easy!!!! The trick is to have your covers all together with their url addresses. Then it is very easy.

I had a visit with my younger daughter the other day - at a nearby Starbucks - she was only in SA for a few hours; but I was talking to her about the difficulty of marketing. she asked if I used pinterest. I told her I was looking into it, but didn't admit how long I have been "looking into it." As I get older, technology keeps moving even faster. It is enough trying to keep up with the changes at Facebook.

Eventually I will have to learn. Maybe you guys who are using the site can help those of us like me and Betty, who don't know how it works.

You join , then you set up a board to put on books,
you have to click on what kind of item you want like
it would say, music books, etc. then you can upload a
picture, I'll try to find my page and put the site here.
Ann I think you would do great with Audi Murphy.

Pinterest is the easiest social networking to use; it is more difficult to exploit as a marketing tool. I have been up for a long time but have not experienced any marketing gain.

You can find lots of cool stuff on Pinterest - not just books; sometimes, it's more about looks.

A board is the name of the group under which you pin. For instance, I have a board for the Southwest Spotlight News Magazine. On that board, I pin the stories I write for the magazine. I have another board for D. K. Christi as a lecturer. On that board I pin info about presentations. Another board is about Corkscrew Swamp. On that board I pin info about the swamp. Some overlap. I have a board about Forever Travels, but only have one book on it.
