Hello all.

My first novel just hit Amazon today as an ebook. Needless to say, it has been an interesting day.

It is set in our world roughly 70 years from now.

Previous forms of government have been overthrown. The united world has no more war, starvation, or epidemics. Without such factors, population has soared to 29 billion. Resources are stretched simply maintaining minimum standards for everyone. Automation does most things, leaving mankind unoccupied and unchallenged. For many, life has become meaningless and cheap.

A global AI runs the world. There are those who believe that men were not meant to be kept as sheep, that we need to be challenged. There are several groups clandestinely working to overthrow the system, but their separate agendas do not necessarily agree with each other. It is sometimes hard to tell who is working for or against whom, or even which are the good guys or the bad.

It is writen in an unconventional style. At roughly 230 pages there are 79 chapters. Obviously many of the chapters are quite short, only one or two pages. Not all of them tie back into the main plot or into any else at all, though it is sometimes hard to tell which are simply to add color to the world and which go someplace. This is especially true since some of the subplots are there mainly as foreshadowing for the second book.

I have not yet set up a website on which I can host files. So providing links to a sample is currently impossible. If anyone would like to see something larger than the default 5% sample that Amazon or Barnes and Noble provide, I will gladly email a sample of the first 15% to those who PM their email addresses to me.
