| Hey everyone, I need some assistance for my next book. I'm writing the next in the Mallory Petersen series and this one deals with a serial killer. Working title: Delta and the Heartbreak Murders. What I need from you are songs with heart break or heartache either in the title or the chorus. Put them in the comment section or email them to me. (slb@mahaska.org) Anybody whose song I use gets an acknowledgement in the book. I'll need title and artist. Thanks! |

| While it doesn't have the actual word heart break, but the theme of the song is just that. "Sleeping" by Rick Astly. It's a pretty good song, so here's a link to it;

| This is fun. I don't know anything about music; so I get to watch as this collection grows. I could use some musical heartbreak references just to play when I want to cry :-( |

| @ Stephen Are you looking for a song that makes the listener cry- or are you looking for something that they can bop their head to and that gives them a kick-butt feeling, or are you looking more for romantic? Bonnie Tyler would fit into the "harder" category, where as John Wait with "Missing you" may fit more into a romantic category... Just curious... Huggles, Katja |

| Katja-I was looking for heartbreak songs, breaking up songs, heartache. Something recognizable with these words in the title or chorus. |

| Check this one out... I have no background on the singer himself, but listened in and the way that he sings it... is interesting... as if he IS heartache http://www.cowboylyrics.com/lyrics/johnson-jamey/heartache-30867.html There are also the Eagles - Heartache Tonight and even more retro Billie Holiday- Good Morning Heartache Huggles, Katja |

| Hi, I have the perfect songs for you 1. Pat Benatar - Heartbreaker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkNNzPkAZkk 2. Elvis Presley - Heartbreak Hotel: This song can be used where the serial killer gets the girl in a hotel room. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PotB76gi2_4 3. Eagles - Heartache Tonight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snPgFNMCXBs Hope you like these Chris |

| When talking hearbreak songs, the Pat Benatar song mentioned above is the first that comes to mind.
If one wishes to jump a decade or two further back there is always "Breaking Up is Hard to do." by Neil Sedaka
And though the words heart ache or heartbreaker appear nowhere in the lyrics, I think a much better song is "The Tracks of my Tears" by Smoky Robinson.
If your goal is simply tying in to the word heartbreak in the title, you could also consider any of the many hits by Tom Petty since the name of his band was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. |

| This might not fit the bill, but for a far less than serious take on heartbreak, here is "You Don't Love me Anymore" by Weird Al;
