Coming soon to an e-reader and bookstore near you:

Ouroboros Ouroboros_tease

An assassin discovers he has fallen into a trap ten years in the making.

If you like Steven Brust, you'll like Ouroboros. It's a mix of hard boiled detective, humor and high fantasy.

(Note bookstore placement limited to major cities of North America only).

Interesting publisher! Would you like to share information about how booktrope works? It seems a bit unusual..

Sure.

Booktrope posts their books for free on their website when the book is launched and it stays free for 6-9 months I believe, maybe longer. They believe (as do I) that free books brings in readers. Certainly their sales haven't suffered. They've been profitable from pretty much the start.

They like to trumpet their "team publishing" model but it's pretty standard among e-book publishers. The author, the book manager and the editor share in the royalties, with author getting the biggest chunk. In practice it actually works pretty well. I have had several teleconferences with my team. The cover artists have a different arrangement.

I was referred for them when Virtual Tales folded. So far, it's been good. The proof will be at book launch (which is sometime this month).

After some delays, the cover for "Ouroboros" will be revealed tomorrow.

It's awesome!

And here it is! Pretty spiffy, I must say.

Cover art by Greg Simanson.
