Music City Myth: A Songwriter's Survival Guide Empty
PostSubject: Music City Myth: A Songwriter's Survival Guide   Music City Myth: A Songwriter's Survival Guide EmptyTue Mar 06, 2012 9:12 am

After spending so many years in Nashville as a songwriter and publisher, and seeing so many people come to town and lose not only their money but also their dreams, I've decided to write down what I learned about the business and make that knowledge available to the general public. Music City Myth may very well be the one book that keeps aspiring songwriters and entertainers from losing everything they have to the con artists and scammers that are on every street corner on Music Row. So, if you've ever given a thought to trying your hand at the wild and wonderful world of songwriting, then you owe it to yourself to read this book first. Song sharks really do swim in country music's murky waters, and this book may be the one thing that keeps you from becoming fish food.

Available for Kindle and in most ebook formats.

Dear Don,
Congratulations on the publication of your new book.

Like new book authors, new songwriters are easy picking for those who prey on dreams.

You are one of a kind, E. Don.
Love,
Betty

Thanks Betty. And DK, I'll have print copies next week, so I hope I can start doing a bit of promotion by then. We'll see.

This is the second book I have that's just been released. RJ Buckley Publishing (Rebecca Buckley) has just published Neon Rainbo, which is also about country music, and I'm hoping I can to some cross over promos, and try to sell the two books in a package deal. Don't know yet how it'll work, but right now that's the plan.

Congratulations Don. I like books that provide helpful information. It is not just to write for entertainment, but also to inform. Your experience appears to be beneficial to aspiring music writers. A good hook is something to work on.
