Hey, check out the above URL to read about my recent two-day/two-night Caribbean cruise from Palm Beach to Nassau.

The comedian was priceless. "The advantage of a cabin head is that you can go to the bathroom, brush your teeth and shower without moving." "Or, you can take a shower by soaping the walls and spinning around." He was a hoot.

Dear Diane,
I would enjoy a trip like that. I have never been on a cruise.
I enjoyed your blog, too. You are a talent in many directions.

I envision the Love Boat. Perhaps you could sign on as activities director. You would be perfect!

Love,
Betty

Have you been to Belize ? You haven't "done" the Caribbean till you have been to Belize. Check out my son's backpacker hostel in Belize, The Funky Dodo in Hopkins village.

Quite a lot of my writing gets done while I'm there, and certainly a lot of my sketching.

I visited as many islands as we could schedule with our yacht, Lady Ace, from 1987,88 & 89 as a blue water, live-aboard sailor.

There are many islands I have not seen, but the sailing portion of Arirang: The Bamboo Connection covers all I did see except the Virgin Islands that I saved for another book.

Traveled to: Most of the Bahamas out-islands; Turks and Caicos; Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the Eastern and Western Caribbean chains to Venezuela.

I have added Jamaica by air.

That leaves many to experience. I have never hungered for pure jungle, though, or roughing it through the bugs and discomforts. With the right person to encourage me along - well, I can do most anything - but even our sailboat had two freshwater heads and showers and one salt water one supplemented with sun showers on deck. I like my showers!!!
