About self-publishing. I've relaxed my own feelings on it. I was never a fan, but I see that some people are doing quite well with it. If audiences really are searching out indie works on indie sites now, then sure, give it a shot.

I've got some ideas for books that would be outdated quite soon; self-publishing might actually be the best avenue for such short shelf-life topics. DT has done some very topical self-published books, like the MJ poetry and TARP ones. Maybe once I'm all tapped out with the standard publishers I'll give it a go myself.

Any advice on creating a following? I have outlined some of my problems on my blog, 'The writer's jungle'

To cut a long story short - there are so many out there. Freebees come at you like flurries of snow.

I shall update my blog weekly - let you all know how I'm doing.

oooh what did I miss? Twisted Evil

I'm happy I SP my four books, but unfortunately it's been a very hard slog with hardly any rewards. Ten years and not a lot to show for it, except distance with my family.

I'm thrilled that Huntress was traditionally published and even though ( at the moment) I'm doing all the marketing, I'd like to continue traditionaly publishing my next titles.

I wish all new and established authors all the best with their work and hope they have more success than I have.
