Three Days of Darkness and the Coming Flood

Jesus left not only a specific sign of His return, He left the actual date. Matthew 24 has been abused by today's leaders. Jesus never said it was impossible to know the date of His return. He said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away (be destroyed by His Father; see Revelation 20:11), but of THAT day and THAT hour knows no man..."

It is the destruction of heaven and earth's date that is unknowable not Jesus' coming that is unknowable. He told us to look for the sign of the Son of Man to occur just before He blew the trumpet for the rapture to occur; Matthew 24:29-31.

Jesus' words in Matthew 24 were meant to lead us to Isaiah 13. Isaiah speaks of a nuclear war between the Medes (present day Kurds), and Babylon (present day Iraq), which sends the earth out of its orbit from around the sun, into the total blackness of deep space. Isaiah 13:12-13.

This begins what Jesus referred to as the sign of the Son of Man.
