| I just wanted to tell you that my mother, whom I mentioned on another thread, died last night. She was 93 and we were there along with four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She lived a good long life.

| I'm sorry, Carol. You are right, though, about her living a good and long life so I hope you can take comfort in that. |

| Hi Carol: I'm sorry for your loss. my mother was 91 when I lost her. It doesn't make it any easier to lose a parent but it is good that we can have them for so long. Chin up, Jim |

| I am so very sorry to hear this, Carol. I know you and I have shared a few mom-stories in the past. My mom is 91.
I know you have many wonderful memories of her to cherish. My best to you and your family.

| Dick, Rhett, Jim and Sue,
Thanks for the kind words. This has been a busy day. We will be having the memorial service July 19th when everyone can come. These are always such family times and that is a good thing.
I appreciate your thoughts. She was a lovely lady.
Love, Carol |

| My condolances Carol. You spoke of your mother often and I know the feeling of loss. My mother happened to be 93 when she died also. |

| My condolences as well, Carol. As everyone has said, it is tough to lose a parent, no matter the age. I hope the memorial service is a very good one and brings the family together. |

| I'm sorry to hear this, Carol. In spite of the tears, may the memorial service abd the gatherings afterwards become a celebration.

| Pam, Helen, Zada, Billie, Don, Malcolm, Abe, Dennis, and Ahad,
Thank you for your kind thoughts. I have no siblings and so have a lot to do. We have been going through my mother's things, although there are not many since she has been in a nursing home for almost five years. My daughters are coming today to look through her treasures of books, crafts, and cards. Yesterday, we found a resume of my father's, a love note my mother had written to my father in 1934 and still had in her wallet, along with loving notes from family. Such sentimental journeys life takes us on.
I have been having some health problems that are getting in my way, but since we have lots of time to plan her service that is all right. We are going to have my daughter, a music minister, come from Virginia to play, and she's going to gather the musical members of the family in some music. My husband's going to play his harmonica, my grand-daughter her flute, my two singing grandchildren are going to sing, and we might even add my grandson Kevin on drums. We are all gathering the sewing items my mother made for all of us for a display. My mother developed many non-treatable and miserable maladies recently, and about five days ago made the decision to not take water, food, or meds. She was in a loving place where they took great care of her, even at the end.
Love you all,
Carol |

| It sounds like your mother had a very full life and was surrounded with love. The memorial is sure to be a good one, filled with good memories and music. My thoughts are with you and I hope your maladies lessen soon. |
