What do you prefer to cook in ? A electric or gas stove, a convection oven ? Me , I'm tired of cleaning the electric oven, it's a royal pain ! So I have been looking for Nesco Roasting Oven, I found one , sounds great. After cooking all you have to do is clean the porcelain oven well. I found one on this site, their price is even cheaper than Nesco's site which charges $6- more plus shipping the site I found it on Gettington is cheaper and no shipping..

| Joe,
I hate to clean ovens. I have a self-cleaning oven--doesn't clean very well. At least it is clean dirt. I have never heard of anyone being harmed by oven dirt. |

| My favorite kitchen appliance is my George Foreman Roaster. It's the little white thingy in the corner of this picture, next to the fridge. I used it to make my Simon and Garfunkel Chicken (seasoned with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme plus lemon, lime, and garlic). I've had mine since I first moved to SA, about 8 years ago. They stopped making them after a few years, but have started selling a new version recently: http://www.langtoninfo.com/showitem.aspx?isbn=5038061031584 It seems more pricey. I think I paid about $50 for mine. I had always preferred gas stovetops, but when I built this house, it wasn't an option, so I got a glass top instead. I've learned you don't have to worry about the heat adjustment taking too long, you just slide your pan off the burner for a bit. My oven has a self-cleaning function, but it gets the kitchen really hot, so I don't use it often. I use a cookie sheet on the lowest shelf to catch drips, which makes it easier to clean. Using the little roaster doesn't heat up the kitchen so much, either. Ann |

My electric oven self cleans, I can't stand the smell ! It's a whirlpool, brand new. Matter of fact the book states if you have pet birds the odor may kill them ! I wonder what the hell they put in them that would kill a bird ? What would it do to a human ?
