Maybe now they'll dis-mantle the nuclear
plants in this country. It's weird in my state
and several others they have no nuclear
plants at all ? Unless they didn't want them?

During the big nuclear plant building boom in the 70's and 80's it was a state by state thing.

Japan uses nuclear power instead of importing coal or gas, both of which are insanely expensive for them to import.

I think, in the end, we'll find out the troubled plant just had safety systems not rated for "worst case scenario", which by Japanese law they are required to have.
