I guess Kadaffi is getting desperate, besides murdering people today, the
British seized a freighter with Libyan currency worth 162 million dollars..

He is not a gentleman!

I still don't understand how any country supports a royal family in today's economy. How can one family be historically free to live off the taxes of their population and only be responsible for ceremonial tasks? And then pass that right from one generation to the next? It's a nice life; worth hanging onto for the next generation. If the royal is no longer in power, the whole family loses their inheritance.

Khadaffi isn't royalty, is he? Just another tinpot dictator. If you mean European royalty, my guess is they bring in a lot of tourism money. And there's something to be said for maintaining a country's heritage of royalty.

His family lives like royals. However, it doesn't really matter. He's not going to let go of his family's wealth and power willingly. I'm sure he sees it as his children's inheritance.

The world court has decided he should be tried for
human slaughter of his own people, the USA has
frozen his bank accounts and the British did the same
thing, I wonder how many billions he has hidden all
over the world...

Our Royal family in the UK pay taxes our Queen pays at her own request. The Royal Estate generates an income through farming and other stuff. I am sure some business investments also.
Our Royal family have to work.
