This is fantastic! Repealing the 14th amendment would be an uphill battle for sure, but this is a start!

Mexico's unemployment rate is hovering at 5%; wages are rising; returning migrant workers from the U.S. are infusing capital in start-up businesses; it is less desireable to leave Mexico for the U.S. than to remain in Mexico. The U.S. economy is awful, Mexicans are no longer recruited by employers as low-wage jobs availability dwindles in the poor economic situation, and the illegal immigrant situation is taking care of itself. No hate legislation is needed. Better to spend legislative resources creating jobs in the small business sector with a potential for growth and putting unemployed to work in infrastructure projects.

The 14th Amendment was created for the slaves in 1865
not illegal's children, I wish people would get this correct !
If we have to add an extra amendment so be it. I'm so tired
of this issue, the politicians have let this slide by for decades,
My great grandparents came here the hard way, Ellis Island,
they had to learn English the hard way, they worked the hard
way so their children could have a better life, my grandparents.

Cheers..Joe

There are many pieces of legislation that are on books everywhere that started for one reason and continue being followed. The energies of the governing bodies of this country need to concentrate of jobs and getting us out of endless wars instead of looking for legislation to undo.

As for how I got here, I think it's pretty irrelevant. What does matter is the contributions of my ancestors and myself to a quality life for those around them. This quality of life was built on the back of immigrants regardless of whether they came through Ellis Island, jumped ship, were born after their parents arrived and before their parents were citizens or crosssed at any other border. This stuff is all red herrings to take the emphasis off where this country was two years ago and why. Illegal immigration provided cheap labor. We no longer need cheap labor. Illegal immigrants will not arrive in droves any longer. Period. Close the issue. Put energy into something that matters.

As hard as it may seem at present, this country will need youth and have specific skill shortages in the future.

A state law cannot overturn the Constitution. The reverse will happen, however. The rules for passing an Amendment haven't changed.
