Up the road, a quarter of a mile, on the top of the only hill in Duette, Florida, The Bunker Hill Winery unfurls it's two flags that announce it is finally open. Today, I went for the tour with my daughter. We tasted all their wines. Delicious!

Love,
Betty

Yes, wine tasting can be fun. However, if done professionally, one doesn't swallow the wine, and that's no fun.

Abe,

What does one do? Spit it out?

But when a winery invites their guests to taste (sometimes charging a fee) one gets to swallow. that's more fun.

Alice,
yes, with professional wine tasting, they spit it out. If swallowed, it interferes with the taste of the next wine sampling.
The wine sampling we do here, we swallow the wine, but then eat some bread or soft pretzel to absorb the wine from the palate. A much better way to sample wine and enjoy it.
