BRAVO ! Rick Monday is an American Hero ! This should never, ever be allowed, the person or persons should have been fined and jailed. No one should be allowed to do this to any flag, no matter what country it belongs to..
Cheers..Joe....... .....

Many countries do not hold their flags in sacred reverence as we do. I once asked a British friend why it was that in Britain, the Union Jack is used to decorate everything, rugs on floors, strippers' costumes, etc., whereas in the States, desecration or irreverence of the Stars and Stripes violates everything. He said, simply, "It's because you don't have a Queen."

In the UK our flag is not the icon of unity it once was. The parts of the British isles that the flag represents have their own icons their own flags. Wales even preserves their own language. Good for them all I say. I am a great supporter in keeping the unique cultures that make up our country.
