| Since it meant my son-in-law was coming home with them, I was very very glad. I would have been anyway, though. I agree, we should never have gone there.

| I'm in agreement with you Alice.
There will still be troops remaining in Iraq in a so-called advisory role. I do recall the advisory label used in a different war. |

| For all those poor people lost, I'm not so sure their lives are improved and certainly the loss of life has been just awful; the cost astronomical. It almost seems we have been mired in an economic crisis as consequence for fighting a war against a people who, initially, did us no harm.
The money spent for murder and mayhem would have accomplished more by uplifting their economy and quality of life.
And since the Bush administration taught me to fear saying anything negative about the war because that meant I was not a patriot and didn't support our troops, I do respect the people who believed they were serving our country by fighting this war and admire their courage and feel badly for the families who lost loved ones. |

| I am glad Ann's son will be home and hope he can get over the horrors of war. I am sorry for the stress this war has put on Ann and her family.
As to the Afghan war--end it now. Enough is enough! |

| Jimmy promises he hasn't been in the fighting. His military specialty was intelligence. He spent a year in Iraq while he and Susan were dating. You may remember, a couple of years ago, he had his knee replaced because of bone cancer. He is now cancer free and retired from the military. He went back to Iraq as a civilian contractor in January. He was home for a week in June, but as of last Saturday, he was back for good.
We have missed him.

| So there is still troops being left in Iraq for advisory role. But they are sending most troops back home. Just another lie. lol. Not sure what will become of this war, but it is not going to be good. The U.S has lied from the very beginning. Remember the weapons of mass destruction crap they made up. After the invasion and killing thousands, they said they made a mistake. The U.K had to be stupid enough to join in though. But still, at least some troops can now return to their families. |
