Shall we be as rude and crude as possible? Or can we as writers say what we mean with clarity and candor?

Certain people on this board and I mean
LC should not be so nasty about a nun
who was killed by a drunk who was illegal
and making fun about it, as I said in another
post if she wants to act that way then she
shouldn't post at all , she has no feelings
towards other people, a total dead macral !

Cheers..Joe

As you can see , she has no common
sense , she belongs on another forum
where they tolerate " STUPIDITY !"
She still owes an apology and there's
no way she can escape this one, except
to vanish into thin air Pooooof...

Here's one: We may not agree with the opinions of others, but if we feel we must say so, we need to do that without being vituperative.

Had to look it up. Vituperative is an adjective meaning bitter and abusive.

I have not felt bitterness or abuse from LC, but perhaps that's just me.

MacTroll.

I prefer to encourage her. It keeps things interesting. Imagine a list where everybody is nice-nice, warm and fuzzy, and touchy-feely. Boring.

I know of such a list. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/christianvents/
I joined it to get material when I was writing a series of essays on ventriloquism. It will send you screaming from the room.

Even in an accident? I have a friend, an elderly man who is beloved by all in the community. He had an automobile accident. He did not see another car coming, and his car struck that car. Low-speed, low impact. But an elderly lady in the other car died. The extent of his remorse was boundless. I felt sorry for her but for him, too. Should he be locked away for life? Of course not.

Al,

There are accidents. Your friend was not drunk. No one would want him locked away for life.

Drunk drivers are another matter. It is forseeable that they will have a wreck and injure or kill someone.

Was she buckled up? If not here's another reason to buckle up so that you don't cause grief to whoever accidentally hits your car--maybe it won't kill you.
