Man, I miss the Elf girl, actually. I like a cool avatar. It usualy says much more about a person than a photo does.

I find it difficult to chose one. My interests are so varied that I end up wanting to chose about 2 dozen of them. *grin* But I do agree with you.

I'm with you Lin, much like they say the costume one chooses for a
fancy dress ball or whatever says the same, there used to be an
unwritten rule in English advertising that said... only in the direst
cases ever show your clients faces, btw are you dead like me or just a
tad anorexic? Love the hat:lol!:

To me it says: I'm here to promote my book.

To promote a book is one thing. To interact and make friends is another.

I knew I could rely on Abe to spot the difference. A photo says: I'm here to make friends.

A promotional avatar is just that.

My original avatar on another board promoting my first book Rainbow's Expressions and Observations was in line with my bio

I hate choosing an avatar, doing an introduction, ect. So I usually just go with a book cover.
