Thank you, Joe! That is beautiful. My mother visited my cousin's husband last Wednesday evening. He is tending her garden to try to keep it the way she did. They both loved the wildlife that came into the garden, especially the birds. My cousin told her husband to look out for a small wren in the garden -- that's how she had chosen to come back.

Whoa, that's a LOT of plants! Looks like a lot of annuals, too, what an expense! And lots of work! Looks great, though.
I put annuals on my front porch, but that's it.

Amazing gardens, Shelagh! Do you take care of all of those plants yourself? It looks like it'd be comparable to running a nursery.
L.C., Beautiful entry! I know it'd make me smile every time I walked to the door.

Hi Helen,
It's my cousin Sheila's garden. She died on Friday April 16th. Close to the end of the video, the building in the background, opposite her front garden, is the primary (kindergarten) school that I attended at the age of four and a half.
Sheila loved her garden and her children and her grandchildren. She adored Tom. No one was ever more loved.

Shelagh..
The garden is " beautiful," boy She has more plants than I do ! I love English Gardens, chock full of color, she must have a thousand outdoor plants. she even has more houseplants than I do. But I didn't see a Calamondin Orange Tree there , they sell them all over the UK , I even checked the nurserys there. Her husband did a great job filming, I'll take her garden home, mine is 12 feet long by 8 feet wide , same size as my patio...PS...You need a fig tree.. Your cousin Shelagh was a great gardner, it shows in the beauty of her garden...
Cheers..Joe....

Shelagh,
I was wondering how you'd have time to take care of a garden like that and do all you do here.
Your cousin was a wondrous woman to create such an amazing world of beauty. Breathtaking. The love clearly shows through.

My family are all gardening mad. My mother's youngest sister won the best garden in the village award one year and her daughter won the same award years later!

Well, since I just got all the wood rot fixed, I'll keep it! I'm meeting with a landscaper today for a bid on fixing all the "deferred maintenance" (to be charitable) items in the yard now. Someone needs to dig up a bunch of grass, weeds, put down mulch, remove some dead bushes, plant new ones ...and it ain't gonna be me.

LOL! There's a story there. I wanted a hat. A large brimmed hat of white tulle. I did what you are not supposed to do -- I took the bridegroom with me shopping to buy a hat. He hated every one of them! Undeterred, I bought one. The next day, I took it back and asked for a refund -- something they don't normally do because brides wear the hats once and then try to get their money back. The shop assistant conceded that I hadn't had time to get married and gave me the refund.
I took my husband-to-be with me a second time and bought an alice band with pale blue and white flowers. They didn't have matching ones with blue flowers but they did have matching blue separate flowers so I bought four -- two each for the bridesmaids. Then, to match the bridesmaids, I decided to wear my headband around my skull instead of on top of it. My husband loved it!
Eta: Your entrance is very attractive.
