My father was a editor. My aunt is a copy editor. That’s two
people in my family employed because of people like John Scalzi.
It doesn’t suck at all. It rocks!

The grammar was actually pretty easy, I don't know why. Maybe because my father was an editor and mother a middle school teacher.

"My aunt used to do freelance copy editing for places like Hyperion/Disney and Avon..."

Nah, it's just a coincidence.

So we're back to what we (or at least, I) thought when this whole thing started.

No surprise there.

This and the apology seems to leave no room for doubt (fact really is stranger than fiction and the motives of real people leave me perplexed).

I admire your tenacity. Congratulations Shelagh

Are you trying to insinuate that whizbang is a liar...and a really, really stupid one at that?

I've never been so shocked.

He issued a very sincere apology to everybody on the site for using other people's identities, lying about his background, and posting material from here elsewhere to flip people out. You could tell he was really contrite and would mend his ways and make amends to people for lying to them and trying to harm them.

zizban was banned on AbsoluteWrite?
I didn't think he had the moral fiber to get kicked out of that place.

Which I will assume was also as sincere and heartfelt as he deserves.

Oh, yeah, I remember that "apology."And I recall thinking at the time it was proof that turkel was the blogger. Then we got distracted with stupid stuff. It should have been obvious that the blogger was someone about as socially and professionally relevant as flypaper, and that's what he attracted as commenters -flies.

What's that saying about the most obvious answer being the right one?

Another obvious fact: the blog was set up as much to attract attention as for any other reason. If we ignore the blogger completely, he can post away to bump up the post count -- lost in deleted posts -- and gain no attention whatever (pun intended!).
