| The election is on the way. Who are you voting for, Labour, conservative, who? Labour has got us in a mess, the economy and the war. Will it make any difference, will taxes be cut and will there there be some real changes? And what do people here think of the BNP, the British National party, that want to drive out all non white people out of the U.K? |

| This should be the closest election we've seen for decades. Tony Blair adopted Tory policies to get himself elected when the Tories were shooting themselves in the foot with sleaze. Is it Lib Dems' time to share power, since the opposition would be more of the same? It will be interesting to watch the polls.

| No party is going to take us out of the financial mess over here. But there needs to be changes to put the country on the right road. Labour has made people pay for higher education, made the country go to war and the reason for the national debt and the economy. There needs to be changes. If a new party gets elected, will there be changes? I hope so.

| Hey, the US voted out the scoundrels that tripled the deficit, smashed the economy, and sent troops to a disastrous war in the mid-east.
But guess what...... |

| Hi Builder Do you seriously think any of the other parties could do any better? I'm ex-service so 'traditionally' conservative but I really wonder if they won't get us deeper into the same mess. Maybe it is time for the Lib Dems but again I can't really see them getting voted in - so what's to do. I think we're in for a rough ride whoever makes it to No10. Ian |

| Yeah for sure. There will not be an easy fix for this mess. It is not just the U.K of course that is in trouble, but a global slow down. But a new party should be elected. If Labour wins again. Then, what can we do? |

| I agree in principle but have you had a good look at the conservative manifesto: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/election-2010/7165000/Conservative-manifesto-2010-general-election-party-policy.html It's a pipe dream - where's the money coming from? I'm not saying labour's is any better, but possibly not any worse. If they are going to be as bad as each other, as I suspect, then are we not going to cause more upheaval by changing. Don't get me wrong; I think that labour have started us on the way to the dogs but it would have been a difficult time for any government. Labour should have 'put something away for a rainy day' but they were more interested in popularity. Aside from the Economy they have made many other gaffs and that would favour a change, but I feel the economy has to be at the fore front, and so wonder if a change would help or hinder. Ian |

| Changes are needed to put the country on the right road. The U.K has got a battle to get itself sorted. Immigration had been out of control which has created less jobs and housing for the British people. Nothing wrong with immigration but it needs to be controlled. It is also bad that manufacturing is practically dead in this country. Factories have been moved overseas where labour and land is cheap. |

| 4/17/2010 Builder... That's exactly what's going on in the USA, they just broke up a ring of smuggling illegals in Arizona worth billions of dollars, the Govt. refuses to give help on the borders, so many states are taking it into their own hands. We now have a National Tea Party , the people are up in arms over our tax system , now their talking about adding a Value Added Tax 15% plus the regular personal taxes plus you would have to pay State Sales Tax, Soon the middle class of this country will be down the toilet . Also the new party is trying to get the Govt. to stop spending, so far our National Debt is 12 Trillion dollars and growing ! Maybe you need over their is a National Tea Party ? The people can let the govt. know their fed up. I really don't have the answers, politics in this country has changed drastically in 50 years.... So far in this country the Democrats and Republicans are running scared, 18 Democrats will be retiring in Nov. and 15 Republicans will retire too. This Nov. 2nd we have major elections for Congress and the Senate, it should be interesting.... Cheers...Joe |
