One of our members died yesterday.

Jess Parker passed away peacefully yesterday, May 8, 2008, at 7:15am. Jess was one of the first members of the PA boards to welcome me in March 2005. In between spells in hospital, Jess maintained contact and joined every forum I set up and joined the Published Authors Network.

He only made two posts on the forum. This is one for anyone who missed it:

Jess will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Sad news Shelagh. I didn't know Jess, but it's always sad when anyone dies, and I'm sure we all wish his family well during their bereavement and for the future.

That is sad. I know his health had been quite bad, and although we live in the same area( 50-60 miles apart), I never did make it up there to see him. We were going to try for a two author signing, but his health prevented it. I am glad to have known him, even if it was only slightly.

Oh, I never know what to say with news like this.

I am sorry I did not know him. I clicked on his post and he seemed to be a very nice person.

Sad news, and to hear that he also struggled with ill health. Rest in peace.

I send my condolences and positive thoughts and blessings to the family, as well as to you, Shelagh, and those who knew him on this board. A passing is always difficult to deal with. Remember the good he brought to the lives of others. That will make it easier.
